What it means

I want to go here. Show the address on your phone while saying it.

When to use it

The standard taxi move. The driver may still ask 怎么走 (which way?), so having the address in Chinese characters matters more than saying it aloud.

What Chinese people actually say

Say this instead: 师傅,去这里 (shīfu, qù zhèlǐ)

In a taxi, address the driver as 师傅 (shīfu) — literally "master," and the standard polite term for drivers, cooks, and tradespeople. Then just 去这里 while showing your phone. Dropping 我要 makes it sound like a command rather than a request.

Examples

shī师fù傅,wǒ我yào要qù去zhè这lǐ里。

wǒ我yào要qù去zhè这ge个dì地zhǐ址。
